The Agtech Network of the Americas began to take shape with the first edition of the IICA Digital Agriculture Week in 2022. Throughout the successive editions of this event, the Network incorporated members and cultivated relationships among them.
The Network is composed of Agtechs originating from the Americas that offer digital solutions for agri-food systems.
In the 2024 edition of Digital Agriculture Week, a process of institutionalizing the Network began (the founding members are detailed below)
The founding members of the Agtech Network of the Americas have the general purpose of mobilizing agri-food digitalization and enhancing the development of agtech ventures that develop digital solutions.
Objective of the Agtech Network ​

In the process of constituting the Network, it was established that it will pursue the following objectives:

Position the relevance of agri-food digitalization in the Americas in various forums.

Highlight the role of agtechs as protagonists of digitalization and central actors in digital innovation ecosystems.

Facilitate alliances between agtechs and between them and other actors to enhance the development and scalability of solutions.

Promote virtual and face-to-face spaces for the exchange of best practices, learnings, and lessons learned among agtechs and other ecosystem actors.

Develop the capacities of entrepreneurial teams to elevate the level of solutions and ventures.

Generate links and common positions with public and private actors and entities from different regions of the world.

Collaborate with governments and international organizations in designing policies that favor the responsible development and incorporation of digital technologies in the agri-food sector.

Contribute to the adoption of technologies to enhance productivity and sustainability, ensuring that technologies are accessible and adaptable for small and medium-scale agriculture.

Develop collaborative financing strategies within the network that drive collective growth, promoting a shared and sustainable financing model among network members.

Dynamics and commitments of the Network
The Network holds regular meetings under the coordination of the IICA Digitalization Program. In these meetings, priority actions and aspects related to the functioning of the network (governance, membership criteria) are proposed and defined. Network members occasionally participate in actions proposed by IICA or its allies, aligned with the objectives of the Network.
Agtech Accelerator
Agtech Accelerator es un programa exclusivo diseñado por el IICA, Endeavor y la Red de Agtechs para emprendedores agtech de alto potencial de las Américas.
El Programa ofrece un entrenamiento intensivo a través del cuál los emprendedores obtienen herramientas para estructurar su compañía y definir un plan de crecimiento sostenible. Su primera edición se lanzó en Febrero de 2025 con una selección de 20 Agtechs de 12 países.
El Programa es la primera acción formal impulsada por la Red. Dos representantes de la Red participaron del diseño -junto a representantes de Endeavor e IICA- y varios emprendedores actúan como mentores del Programa, junto a mentores referentes de Endeavor.
